Krukar Appointed to Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Diversity and Inclusion

Jared Krukar attends the Path to Inclusion Symposium on behalf of the Appellate Practice Section on November 10, 2017.

We are pleased to announce that the President-Elect of The Florida Bar, Michelle R. Suskauer, has appointed Jared Krukar to The Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Diversity and Inclusion for the 2018-19 calendar year.

The Florida Bar Board of Governors created the Committee in 2010 with a mission “[t]o increase diversity and inclusion in The Florida Bar,” “to develop opportunities for community involvement,” and to “make leadership roles within the profession and The Florida Bar accessible to all attorneys,” irrespective of race, creed, gender, ethnicity, disability, or orientation.  Members of the Committee comprise a diverse group of men and women from throughout Florida who strive to improve the relative lack of diversity within the general membership of the Bar.

The Committee’s noble cause is one that Jared has pursued throughout his legal career, most recently within the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section as Chair of the Outreach Committee.  Jared and the Outreach Committee enjoyed hosting a sponsor table for the Appellate Practice Section at the Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s signature event last year, the Path to Inclusion Symposium.

Jared reports, “I’m honored by the appointment to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and look forward to serving The Florida Bar in this new capacity.”
